Job Title: Senior Java/J2EE Developer

Location: Atlanta , GA (Remote till covid)

Type of Position: Contract  

  

Mandatory Skills:

•         Front-end development skills: Angular 8.0, HTML/JavaScript, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).

•         Hands on experience designing and developing microservices using either Java/Spring Boot. 

•         Relevant experience with API concepts and technologies such as REST, JSON, XML, SOAP, YAML, and Swagger.

•         Messaging platforms such as Kafka or SQS / SNS.

•         Design document-based datastores, SQL / NoSQL decisions.

•         Knowledge in integration architectures.

•         Experience developing within agile methodology using CI/CD pipeline.

•         Knowledge in Git, BitBucket, Jenkins automation.

•         Demonstrate the experience and ability to work without technical oversight and to lead and/or supervise a team of specialists.

•         Possess superior oral and written communication skills in order to clearly and effectively convey issues and ideas to team members, management and customers.

Roles and Responsibilities:

·         Mentor / provide support to less-experienced Developers

·         Support / lead full-stack architecture and design; identify / scope / architect / deliver moderately complex solutions; suggest solutions.

·         May engage / collaborate with external technical teams to ensure timely, high-quality solutions; may engage with shared services teams and vendors.

·         Assist in research and fact-finding to modify or enhance systems and applications.

·         Independently configure, enhance / update, maintain, test, debug systems / integrations.

·         Provide work estimations; meet delivery expectations with tight time windows.

·         Help create technical documentation / training for system enhancements and test scenarios.

·         Assist with implementation, end-to-end system integration, stabilization, and production support transition.

·         Stay available to provide support during escalation of incidents.

·         May assist with proposed cloud-based solution technical reviews.
