Looking for Java Automation Engineer for 6 Months Contract in Ann Arbor, MI.
Visa : H1b/ USC/ GC/ TN

Responsibilities

• Certify software functionality for new Production releases
• Develop automated tests for features developed in-sprint
• Develop, document, and maintain the test strategy and test scenarios
• Manage the defect log and ensure issues are resolved, including validation of the fix
• Participate in developing and documenting User Stories, including testing estimates and validation tests
• Partner with developers to find technical solutions for test automation
• Partner with the developers to ensure all areas of the application are fully tested and issues are clearly logged and prioritized consistently
• Perform desk checks and code reviews
• Provide exploratory testing to understand the feature and how it is implemented, to find additional or unexpected behaviour, and to refine and define additional test cases for the feature
• Work with Integration Build teams to manage dev, QA and production release of software

Qualifications

• 7 + years of Java development experience & Minimum 9 years industry experience, preferably in an Agile development environment.
• Ability to work independently with an aptitude for detailed work and follow-up activities.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
• Experience in API automation testing using Spring Framework.
• Experience with Appium (Selenium WebDriver with Java).
• Experience with automated testing tools (Selenium WebDriver with Java).
• Experience with defect tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.)
• Experience with source control versioning systems (Git, Stash, Bitbucket).
• Experience with Spring Framework is a must.
• Knowledge in CI/CD processes and tools preferably Jenkins.
